How do you seal your rocks?I seal all my rocks with a crystal clear satin finish spray acrylic which protects the items from UV light, fading and dust. Please handle the stones with care. Do not scratch, pick, or apply hard pressure to the surface of the stones as it will affect the painting.
-
Can your rocks be displayed outdoors? Can I have them in my garden, for example? While the rocks are sealed with a protective finish, they are not suitable for outdoor use. I recommend the rocks are not displayed in direct sunlight for extended periods of time or exposed to moisture / weather.
-
Can your painted stones get wet? While the spray finish is durable, it is not waterproof. DO NOT submerge the stones in water and if they do get wet, try to dry them off as quickly as possible.
-
Do you personally find all the stones that you paint?Yes! Every single stone and shell is hand-picked by me from one of my favorite beaches. The stones are all from beaches in Keweenaw County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The shells and sand dollars I use for my ocean pieces are from beaches in Sonoma and Mendocino counties.

The rocks look so perfectly round and perfectly painted. How do I know they're not machine-made?The stones I use are all formed by Mother Nature and are 100% hand painted. I've never purchased stones or blanks to make my art. As a result, when you look closely, they may have slight imperfections and not all dots are perfectly round. That is part of what makes them unique.

Do you sell your rocks in any retail locations?I have a selection of my stones available for purchase at the Keweenaw Handicraft Shop in Allouez, Michigan. They are located at 2989 US 41 in Allouez Township, MI 49950 and carry a wonderful selection of items from local artists.
